Hi, I began this position as an interim office administrator (secretary) in Sept. 2008 and it became a part/full time position in Nov. 2008.  Working for God’s Kingdom is special.  He likes to keep us on our toes.

It is kind of funny how I came about this position.  Our pastor and friend of CHBC made the decision to move to Washington State last summer and when he told me I made the comment “Well, if God wants me to change jobs He will have to find me another job” (I was secretary at CHBC for the past 5 years and member for the past 20).   I was being kind of flip about this as I had no idea what God had in mind for my family.  Within 2 days of this comment Pastor Randy came to me and told me that John Elam wanted to talk to me as the secretary of 20 years at the Assoc. was retiring at the Annual Meeting.  Imagine my response, shock to actually think God would take me out of my comfort zone (church).  I visited with John, became the interim and learned from the retiring secretary (while I continued to work for the church).  After doing this for a month and a half, after lots of prayer and struggling on my part I reached the decision to go for it.

I settled down into my new part/full time position and have been happily working away ever since.  It is always good to work in an environment that puts God first.  I have got to know the DOM and the pastors of our association and they are  great guys who love God and want to further His kingdom.

Praise God in His all knowing wisdom to know what is be for us.
